Olox brings their unique performance to the America’s Got Talent stage! Catch their amazing performance of “Zombie” by The Cranberries during the Auditions round on the world’s biggest stage.
The Arctic Siberian act “Olox” is composed of Zarina Kopyrina and Andreas Veranyan-Urumidis. Prior to joining AGT, they have already performed in several music festivals like Lucidity Festival, RelaxPansion and OmRising. Last year, they performed at Burning Man, an annual festival held in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada.
Andreas started off the performance by throat singing as Zarina started imitating the sounds of the wind and birds. Using traditional singing techniques combined with the electronic beats, their version of “Zombie” delighted the audience and the judges. Howie Mandel and the audience gave the duo a standing ovation. The judges gave them 4 YES votes, advancing them to the next round of the competition.

“Zombie” is a protest song by Irish alternative rockband the Cranberries, written about the 1993 IRA bombing in Warrington, and in memory of two young victims, Johnathan Ball and Tim Parry. It is the lead single from their second studio album, No Need to Argue (1994). The song reached No. 1 on several European charts and US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and won the “Best Song” award at the 1995 MTV Europe Music Awards. In April 2020, it became the first song by an Irish band to surpass a billion views on Youtube.
Judges’ Comments:
Heidi Klum said she never heard anything like that before.
Sofia Vergara commented that the performance reminded her of a soundtrack of a wonderful movie. She added, “You look spectacular in that outfit. It’s beautiful.”
Howie Mandel said, “It was surprising and eerie and captivating and hypnotic. I love everything.”
Simon Cowell said he could feel the audience loved the act. “It is very fun and mysterious, very original. And I like acts I’m gonna remember in a week’s time and I’m gonna remember you two.”
