Goodbye Honey tells the story of a frantic young woman named Phoebe (Juliette Alice Gobin), who, after escaping an abduction, must coerce an exhausted truck driver (Pamela Jayne Morgan) to hide in the back of her truck for the night. Goodbye Honey 2021
Dawn Miller (Pamela Morgan), a truck driver on a cross country haul, pulls into an isolated state park to get some sleep. She is soon frightened by a shadowy figure, who turns out to be Phoebe Beenum (Juliette Alice Gobin), a young woman who claims to have just escaped abductor, Cass Rodick (Paul C. Kelly). Dawn is wary of Phoebe’s story, leading to a struggle that leaves the only cell phone broken and the keys missing. With no way to reach the police, they hide in the truck’s freight but clash over what to do next. Eventually, it becomes clear that they are not alone. Bonding over a shared history of trauma, Dawn and Phoebe realize they must learn to trust each other and work together if they want to get through a night full of unexpected twists and violent turns.
Goodbye Honey is produced by Josh Michaels, Todd Rawiszer, and Max Strand. The film debuted at the Philadelphia International Film Festival on October 29, 2020. It is set to be released on VOD on May 11, 2021 by Freestyle Digital Media.
The film won Best Thriller – Jury Award, Best Actress- Feature Film (Pamela Jayne Morgan), and Best Supporting Actor – Feature Film (Rafe Soule) at the 2021 Garden State Film Festival. Pamela Jayne Morgan bagged two more trophies for Best Lead Performance at the 2020 Nightmares Film Festival and Best Actress at tha NOLA Horror Film Fest. The film also won for Best Sound Design at the 2020 New York City Horror Film Festival.
