Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is a survival horror film written and directed by genre filmmaker Johannes Roberts (Alice, Forest of the Damned, F, Storage 24, The Other Side of the Door, 47 Meters Down, The Strangers: Prey at Night, 47 Meters Down 2). The film serves as a reboot of the Resident Evil film franchise and will be the seventh film overall. Loosely based on the Capcom video game series of the same name, this reboot brings the games to life for a whole new generation of fans. The film stars Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, Robbie Amell, Tom Hopper, and Neal McDonough.

A thief steals the genetically engineered T-virus from Umbrella Corporation’s the Hive, a genetic research facility in Raccoon City. He soon contaminates the Hive with the virus and in response, the facility’s AI called the Red Queen and White Queen, seals the Hive and k—s everyone inside.
