Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 2
Snowpiercer is an American post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller television drama series that premiered on TNT on May 17, 2020. The series was renewed through the third season which premiered on January 24, 2022. In July 2021, ahead of the third-season premiere, the series was renewed for a fourth season.
The series is based on both the 2013 film of the same name and the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand and Jean-Marc Rochette. Snowpiercer is set in 2026, seven years after the world becomes a frozen wasteland, and follows the remnants of humanity who have taken shelter on a perpetually moving luxury train designed and built by the eccentric billionaire Mr. Wilford. The train consists of 1,001 carriages, with a population that has become rigidly separated by class, caught up in a revolutionary struggle against the strictly imposed social hierarchy and unbalanced allocation of limited resources. Snowpiercer explores issues of class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival.
Season 3 picks up with Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs) and his inner circle commanding a small 10-car “pirate train” in search of Melanie Cavill (Jennifer Connelly) and a possible warm location to restart civilization. Back on Snowpiercer, Mr. Wilford (Sean Bean) is consolidating power, awaiting Layton’s return.
