Elvis is an upcoming epic biographical musical drama film directed by acclaimed filmmaker Baz Luhrmann (Strictly Ballroom, Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge!, Australia, The Great Gatsby). The screenplay is written by Luhrmann, Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce, and Jeremy Doner, from a story by Luhrmann and Doner.
This biopic of the rock legend is produced by Gail Berman, Rory Koslow, Baz Luhrmann, Catherine Martin, Patrick McCormick, and Schuyler Weiss. It will have its world premiere at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival in May 2022. Elvis is scheduled for a theatrical release in the United States on June 24, 2022, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
