Dashcam 2022
Dashcam is a 2021 horror film directed by genre filmmaker Rob Savage (Strings, Host), from a screenplay written by Savage, Gemma Hurley, and Jed Shepherd. It is produced by Jason Blum and Douglas Cox. Dashcam is scheduled to be released in select US theaters and on VOD on June 3, 2022, by Momentum Pictures.
This found footage horror film is framed within a livestream, shot from the perspective of either Hardy’s smartphone or the dashcam in her car. Dashcam had its world premiere at the Midnight Madness selection at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival on September 11, 2021, where it was named second runner up for the People’s Choice Award: Midnight Madness. The film also won for Best Effects at the 2021 British Independent Film Awards.
