Disney’s musical fantasy “Aladdin” is off to a great start, with an estimated $113 million box office debut over Memorial Day weekend.
“Aladdin” earned USD 31 million on its opening day on Friday, May 24, 2019 and another USD 30 million on Saturday. Three day estimates (Friday to Sunday) peg Aladdin’s box office take at USD 90 million.

Screen Gems’ superhero horror film “Brightburn” earned an estimated USD 3 million on Friday, and is projected to bring in around USD 10 million for the four-day holiday weekend.
Meanwhile another new release, the comedy film “Booksmart” by Olivia Wilde, raked in an estimated USD 2.5 million on Friday and is expected to earn around USD 8 million in 4 days.
In foreign markets, Aladdin’s box office take is around USD 121 million, giving it an estimated worldwide box office total of USD 207 million as of May 26, 2019, against a production budget of USD 183 million.
Directed by Guy Ritchie, “Aladdin” stars Mena Massoud, Will Smith, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, and Billy Magnussen.
“Aladdin” currently holds a rating of 58% based on 253 reviews, and an audience score of 93%. On Metacritic, the film got an average score of 54 out of 100 based on 45 critics, which indicates “mixed or average” reviews.
