A Million Little Things follows a group of friends from Boston who bonded under unexpected circumstances. Some have achieved success, others are still struggling in their careers and relationships. But all of them have one thing in common, they all feel stuck in life. After one of them dies from suicide unexpectedly, it’s just the wake-up call the others need to finally start living. Along the way, they discover that friends may be the one thing to save them from themselves.
The series received a put pilot commitment at ABC in August 2017. A Million Little Things was ordered to series in May 2018 and premiered on September 26, 2018. On October 26, 2018, the show was picked for a full season of 17 episodes. On February 5, 2019, ABC renewed the series for a second season which premiered on September 26, 2019. In May 2020, ABC renewed the series for a third season which premiered on November 19, 2020.
