Prior to her unmasking, the Seahorse peformed “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars, when she faced the Crocodile, also from Group B.
Many fans of The Masked Singer already knew who the Seahorse was prior to her unmasking.
So who is the Seahorse on The Masked Singer?
Seahorse was revealed as Grammy-winning American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer Tori Kelly. Among the judges / panelists, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger and guest panelist Craig Robinson made the right guess as to Seahorse’s identity.
Ken Jeong‘s first impression guess was American singer and songwriter Fergie, then changed his guess to Christina Aguilera, based on the telescope clue which he thinks points to a “star”. He praised Seahorse and said everything she did was flawless and that she could easily have won the competition. Ken thinks she’s so effortless and outstanding.
Robin Thicke‘s initially thought that Seahorse was American singer, songwriter, and actress Jojo. He later changed his guess to Tori Kelly based on the broken tooth clue, which he said might refer to Tori Kelly’s song Unbreakable Smile and to the guitar clue which he said points to Kelly being a guitar player.
Jenny McCarthy thought at first that Seahorse was American singer, songwriter and activist Halsey. She said there was a recurring clue about fire, which she said was a reference to Halsey’s song “Angel on Fire.” So, Jenny did not change her guess and was quite certain Seahorse was Halsey.
Nicole Scherzinger‘s first impression guess was American singer, songwriter and record producer Maren Morris. But she changed her guess to Tori Kelly because she knows her voice and admits she’s a massive fan. “There isn’t anything she can’t do and because of her church roots and winning Grammys for her gospel album, I believe it’s Tori Kelly,” Nicole concluded.
Guest panelist Craig Robinson felt it was Sia at first, then agreed with Nicole and Robin Thicke that it was Tori Kelly because they sounded so sure and covered it beautifully.

Asked by Nick Cannon why she wanted to do The Masked Singer, Tori said, “I’ve always even just thought of myself as just a singer, so I thought it’d just be fun to come out here and show a whole new side of myself. Be a little more sassy, you know.”
Tori said she was so thrilled to hear all the nice things the panelists said. “I just feel more like an entertainer now just as a whole, and I think I’m just excited for what this means for the rest of my career, too, and it’s all good things.
Clues about the Seahorse were explained after the reveal. The clocks with wings are a clue for Tori’s single, “Time Flies.” The Christmas wreath is a nod to her recently released album, “A Tori Kelly Christmas.” The double lasso is a hint to Tori’s two Grammy wins. She also explained that the telescope clue is about her being on “Star Search” when she was 10 years old. The rainbow flag clue is a nod to when she got to sing “Rainbow Connection” with Kermit the Frog.
Tori Kelly (age 28) first gained recognition after posting videos on YouTube as a teenager. She made it through to Hollywood week on the ninth season of American Idol in 2010 and independently released her self-produced debut EP in 2012, Handmade Songs by Tori Kelly.
Her debut studio album Unbreakable Smile (2015) peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. Tori’s second studio album Hiding Place (2018) peaked at number 35 on the Billboard 200 chart and received two Grammy Awards, for Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance/Song, respectively.
The fourth season of the American television series The Masked Singer premiered on Fox on September 23, 2020. Nick Cannon, singer-songwriter Robin Thicke, television and radio personality Jenny McCarthy, actor and comedian Ken Jeong, and recording artist Nicole Scherzinger all returned for their fourth season as host and panelists.
The panelists also engaged in a competition for the Golden Ear in this season. After each masked singer performed for the first time along with an initial clue package, each panelist wrote their first impressions-based guess at the identity of the celebrity. Those guesses were revealed after each celebrity was unmasked, with the panelists scoring a point for each celebrity they got correct from their initial first impression. The panelist with the most correct answers will win the Golden Ear.
