Heartstopper Netflix
Heartstopper is a British coming-of-age romance streaming television series developed for Netflix based on the webcomic and graphic novel of the same name by Alice Oseman. It is scheduled to premiere on April 22, 2022 on Netflix.
The series is executive produced by Euros Lyn, Patrick Walters, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, and Emile Sherman. The 8-episode series is directed by Euros Lyn. Heartstopper is created and written by Alice Oseman, based on her own novel.
An open casting call went out in January and February 2021 for five of the main characters as well as three recurring. Over 10,000 people auditioned, and Oseman announced the first round of casting in April 2021, with Kit Connor and Joe Locke starring as Nick and Charlie respectively.
