Lost Ollie is an American live action/computer animated television miniseries created by Shannon Tindle. The four-part limited series is based on the 2016 children’s book Ollie’s Odyssey by renowned author and illustrator William Joyce. It is scheduled to be released on Netflix on August 24, 2022.
The series is directed by Peter Ramsey and executive produced by Josh S. Barry, Lampton Enochs, Shawn Levy, Brandon Oldenburg, and Shannon Tindle. Jonathan Groff was cast in the title role on March 9, 2021, with Mary J. Blige, Tim Blake Nelson, Gina Rodriguez, Jake Johnson and Kesler Talbot joining the series.
American actor and singer Jonathan Groff (age 37), voices the titular character Ollie. Groff became known for his role as Melchior Gabor in the Broadway production of Spring Awakening and as King George III in Hamilton. He starred in the television series One Life to Live, Glee, Boss, Looking, and Mindhunter. His film credits include Taking Woodstock, Twelve Thirty, The Conspirator, C.O.G., Frozen and its sequel Frozen II, American Sniper, The Matrix Resurrections, and the upcoming Knock at the Cabin, and Molly and the Moon.
