Jenn Carter (Jessica Rothe) and Sol Chau (Harry Shum Jr) are a sweet, newly engaged couple whose whole life seems ahead of them. Rothe is best known for the MTV series Mary + Jane (2016) and for the slasher film Happy Death Day (2017) and its 2019 sequel. Rothe’s film credits include La La Land (2016), Forever My Girl (2018), and Valley Girl (2020). She most recently appeared in the Prime Video drama series Utopia.
Costa Rican-born American actor, singer, dancer, and choreographer Harry Shum Jr. (age 38) plays the role of Solomon Chau. Shum is best known for his roles in the series Glee (2009-2015) and Shadowhunters (2016-2019). He was nominated for four Screen Actors Guild Awards for his performance in Glee, winning once. He also won the award for The Male TV Star of 2018 in the E! People’s Choice Awards for Shadowhunters. Shum’s film credits include Step Up 2: The Streets (2008), Step Up 3D (2010), White Frog (2012), Revenge of the Green Dragons (2014), Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny (2016) and Crazy Rich Asians (2018).
