Rhino performed a cover of “The Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles during the Group C Championships round on Week 8 of The Masked Singer 2020 (Season 3).
“The Tracks of My Tears” was written by Smokey Robinson, Pete Moore, and Marv Tarplin. It is a multiple award-winning 1965 hit R&B song originally recorded by their group, The Miracles. Johnny Rivers’ version in 1967 peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 while Linda Ronstadt’s version in 1975 reached number 25 on the Hot 100 chart.
Rhino’s rendition impressed The Masked Singer judges Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and guest panelist Will Arnett. His performance also earned a “Safe” vote from the audience.
