This movie follows the story of Sean (Logan Lerman) and his relationship with his estranged father Frank (John Hawkes).
After being widowed, Frank embarks on a journey to honor his wife’s last wish of spreading her ashes in a remote lake in her native Ireland and a promise of taking his son along for the trip. But Sean, fresh out of prison, is focused on anything but an international road trip with his father. After his travel plans to California don’t pan out, Sean reluctantly accepts Frank’s proposal, in return for a ticket to the West Coast and a promise that they never have to see each other again.
Between an unnerving Irish wake, surfacing of an old flame, a pretty hitchhiker (Sarah Bolger) and plenty of unresolved issues, the father and son journey becomes a little more than they had bargained for.

Adalsteins’ movie won the Humanitas Prize for Independent Feature Film at the Humanitas Prize 2020 Awards and the Special Award of Mannheim-Heidelberg at the 2019 Mannheim-Heidelberg International Filmfestival in Germany.
American actor John Hawkes (age 60) plays the role of Frank Fogle. Hawkes is best known for his roles in the films Winter’s Bone (2010) and The Sessions (2012), for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama, respectively. His film credits include From Dusk till Dawn (1996), The Perfect Storm (2000), American Gangster (2007), Lincoln (2012) and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017). He has also appeared in TV series, notably Deadwood (2004-2006) and Eastbound & Down (2009-2013).
Logan Lerman (age 28) portrays Sean Fogle. Lerman is an American actor known for playing the title role in the fantasy-adventure Percy Jackson films. His film credits include The Butterfly Effect (2004), Hoot (2006), 3:10 to Yuma, The Number 23, Gamer, The Three Musketeers, The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), Noah, and Fury. He also starred in the series Jack & Bobby (2004-2005) and most recently, Hunters.
