Man with a Plan is an American sitcom TV series created by Jackie and Jeff Filgo and starring Matt LeBlanc that premiered on October 24, 2016 on CBS. The series is produced by Double Double Bonus Entertainment, 3 Arts Entertainment in association with CBS Television Studios, with the Filgos serving as showrunners.
The series follows old-school father Adam Burns (Matt LeBlanc), who takes on more of the responsibilities of parenting his three rambunctious children (Kate, Emme and Teddy) when his wife Andi (Liza Snyder) returns to work. Adam must learn to balance this challenge with running a contracting business with his brother Don, while at the same time dealing with his overbearing father Joe. The series is set in suburban Pittsburgh.
In May 2018, CBS renewed the series for a third season, which premiered on February 4, 2019. In May 2019, the series was renewed for a fourth season by CBS, which premiered on April 2, 2020. In May 2020, CBS announced that they were cancelling the series. It was reported that the cancellation was primarily because the series was expensive to produce for the network.
On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, Season 1 of Man with a Plan has an approval rating of only 21% based on 29 reviews. But the audience score is at 80%, based on 86 user ratings.
