Thunderstorm Artis (age 23) performed “Home” by Canadian-Italian singer Michael Bublé during the Top 9 Performances on the semi-finals of The Voice 2020 (Season 18).
Blake Shelton said the stuff Thunderstorm was playing on his guitar was “cool, different, inventive”. He said Thunderstorm made the song his own, which he has been doing all along.
Coach Nick Jonas agreed with Blake and said that from day one in the competition, Thunderstorm made everything his own. He said Thunderstorm made a clear path for himself, which he thinks is a clear shot to the finale.
Thunderstorm got into the semi-finals through the Public’s vote. Results of the Top 9 Performances will be announced on May 12, 2020. Five artists will advance to the finale.

“Home” is the second single from Michael Bublé’s second major-label studio album, It’s Time. Released in March 28, 2005, the song peaked at number 72 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on the US Adult Contemporary.
Season 18 of The Voice premiered at 8PM on February 24, 2020 on NBC and will air Mondays at 8 PM. John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton returned as coaches for their third, fifth and eighteenth seasons, respectively. Nick Jonas joined the panel as a new coach, replacing Gwen Stefani. Meanwhile, Carson Daly returned for his eighteenth season as host.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, production has done some adjustments. For the first time ever, there will be only three weeks of Live Shows: the Playoffs, the Semi-Final, and the Finale. That’s a big drop compared to six weeks of Live Shows in Season 17.
The three weeks of live shows will also air as lives done at each contestant’s and coach’s home.
As to the voting system, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists and artists who receive the fewest votes will be eligible for the “Instant Save”. America will then save their favorite performer by voting on “The Voice” app (available on iOS and Android) or NBC.com. The artists with the fewest number of votes will be “sent home” or eliminated each week.
