The Pirates of the Caribbean film series star, Orlando Bloom, sure knows how to make her lady, Katy Perry, feel special on Valentine’s Day because on that day, he popped the question Katy Perry. Yes, he proposed to her on Valentine’s Day which also happens to be Katy Perry’s favorite holidays to celebrate.
Katy Perry wrote “full bloom” on Instagram while showing a picture of the engagement ring Orlando Bloom gave her. The said picture gained 1.7 million likes. The same picture was uploaded by Orlando Bloom on his Instagram account with a caption “Lifetimes” and gained over 440K likes.
Surprises for Katy Perry didn’t stop at the wedding proposal. Orlando Bloom also threw a party inviting 30 of Katy Perry’s closest friends. The party was held at a private penthouse in Downtown Los Angeles in California.
A source shared with E! News:
“The proposal was a complete surprise. They have discussed getting engaged but Katy did not think it was going to happen so soon. Orlando proposed to Katy in private just the two of them after their Valentine’s Day dinner celebration. All of her friends were advised to keep things very secretive. The whole room was decorated in red roses and there were red sweatshirts given out that said ‘OK’ on them. Everyone in the room cheered for them as they walked in and they had a champagne toast. There were tears of happiness from Katy and she had a huge smile on her face the entire night.”
Katy Perry’s parents were also there during the celebration. They definitely are very excited and happy for the couple.
You may be wondering how the two met. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom got flirty during Golden Globes 2016 after party. Since then both of them tried to keep their relationship private, though they have both hinted before that it would be possible that they get married in the future.
But things surely change when you find “the one” and you start believing in love again. According to Katy Perry:
“I’m very pragmatic and logistical and I am less fantastical about things. I mean, I was married when I was 25. I’m 34. It was almost 10 years ago. I was like, ‘One person for the rest of my life,’ and I’m not so sure that that idea is for me. I’m just such a different person than I was.”
Katy Perry seems so excited since having Orlando Bloom in her life. She has always said that the love that Orlando Bloom gives her is different than anything she ever felt before.
